Key aspects of the Prata River Revolution (1810-1820)

The 200th anniversary of Iberian-American independences have motivated a general review of the historiography from this period. This paper considers some recent contributions about the theme in order to analyze, firstly, the events of 1810, and later defining which transformations have led to considering this moment a revolution. Lastly, I analyze the aspects of change researched: the appearance and the importance of people political engagement in the city of Buenos Aires.Downloads
