This paper aims to analyze the characteristics adopted by the revolutionary process that occurred in the rural villages of the Prata River coast. The objectives are: firstly, to demonstrate that the struggles of some cities to become leaders in their state not only resulted in conflicts with the superior government, but also gave rise to the challenge of finding a way of representation in which both villages and the rural population had a voice while also resisting the sovereign power; the second objective is to prove that the wars in this space were not only conflicts between groups of people, but also a series of struggles for the attachment and against the government controlling these villages; the third objective is to show that these conflicts defined specific ethnic and social profiles for each political opponent, deriving from old and recent tensions caused by the revolution.Downloads
