Abstract

The present paper refers to Afro-Brazilian organization in the city of Pelotas, particularly the Afro-Brazilian carnival’s clubs between the 1920s and 1950s. We intend to describe the most important clubs and their evolution, analyzing their role and importance for Pelotas’ Afro-Brazilian community.
