Vertical market integration: graphic art in the Compania General de Fosforos in the first decades of the 20th century

This paper studies the case of Compania General de Fosforos, a big shareholders company and manufacturer of matches that, as part of its process of vertical integration, set up a printing shop for the lithographed matchbox labels. The focus is placed on investment strategies that contributed to the industrial development of this printing shop within the Company, in a context of the expansion of the printing industry in Argentina.
