The legitimation of the discriminatory Law: the family’s representations in the Argentine labor rights

This paper presents an analysis of Bialet i Massé proposals on labor contracts, the working class and domestic servants in Argentina during the early twentieth century. The legitimization of the asymmetrical normative order in the legal ambit is studied, taking as reference the protectionists arguments on family and poor women. Special attention is given to domestic work peculiarities of nannies and intrafamiliar relationships
