Author Biography

Nadia Heusi Silveira, Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina

Nádia Heusi é Doutora e Mestre em Antropologia Social pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Realizou um ano de estágio sanduíche na Universidade de St Andrews (Center for Amerindian, Latin American and Caribbean Studies), Escócia. Tem experiência etnográfica com grupos Yanomami e Guarani. Integrante do Núcleo de Estudos sobre Saúde e Saberes Indígenas (NESSI/UFSC). Coordenou a edição da Revista Tellus, da Universidade Católica Dom Bosco (UCDB), de 2005 a 2013. É pesquisadora associada ao INCT BRASIL PLURAL na Rede Saúde: práticas locais, experiências e políticas públicas, desde 2010. Atua na área de antropologia, com ênfase no campo da saúde, e tem trabalhado com os seguintes temas: saúde indígena, práticas alimentares, etnologia indígena, xamanismo e narrativas de doença.
