We attempt a critical reflection on the concept of frontier. Related to this, we propose a discussion in two moments: the first, focused on internai evidences — as for example the historicity present in the concept itself — which fixes the limits and references it, and we refer to a second moment of discussion, by turning the historical analysis into a field of critical brightness, which is able to answer the present question concerning the criteria of the demarcation and the visibility of the frontiers.
