Conflicts of interest on German colonization in southern Brazil in the second half of the XIX century

Abstract

Specially in the second middle of the 19th century, in the context of nationalistic interests which indicated the unification of all German states, a series of episodes, producted by Brazilian and German authorities and busi-nessmen, conducted to the intedict, by Prussia, of the emigration to Brazil and affected considerably the colonization process of the south of Brazil with German immigrants.
