From the Caribbean to the Hexagon: the Martinique emigration in the fifty/sixty years

Abstract

The migration of people from Martinique in the 1950s/1960s is representative of the migratories movements in the Caribbean area after the Second World War. These migratory movements which were mainly oriented throught the ex-metropolis are partly organized by government agencies and supported by a migration policy.
