Abstract

In this article I will try to analyze some aspects of the participation of the writer Monteiro Lobato in campaigns for higienization-eugenization of Brazil. My interpretation of his position about the Brazilian and the Brazilian problems will be especially based on an analysis of his works Urupês (1915) and Problema Vital (1918).
