Improving EAD current models of the teachers formation

There are basically two models in Brazil of Distance Learning in teacher education, with many variables: First, the teacher appears in its more traditional role, which is seen by the students live (tele-class) or class recorded (video-class). Besides classes, there are readings and activities and virtual presence (model tele /video-class). In the second model, the teacher does not “give lessons,” he makes his communication through print and digital materials, with mentoring presence in local places or virtual, through the Internet. He uses some videos, not systematically (Web model). The article shows the progress held in Distance Learning in teacher education and make some proposals to have an effective distance education quality.Downloads
