Abstract

Globalization, as the prevailing economic and social paradigm, has brought a new way of global interaction that is not without controversy. In response, education has been transformed and is moving from education for globalization to global education. The leadership that is needed is characterized as servant and ethical, visionary, holistic and therefore spiritual, caring for people and able to respond to the educational development of a full and critical global citizenship.
