The research project Educação, linguagem e práticas leitoras II (Education, language and reading practices II) includes the reading of different contemporary cultural products destined for the childhood. Among the actions of this research is the study of literature books written for children, aiming the identification and the characterization of verbal and visual appeals employed in the constitution of the books and that involves the reader. The objective of this study is to analyze the concepts of classic and adaptation in the book that belongs to the collection of PNBE 2008, Os lusíadas em quadrinhos, composed by the illustrator Fido Nesti, which showed that it was one of the books that the students most looked for in the libraries of the municipal schools of Caxias do Sul (RS). The investigation follows a descriptive propose and uses the inductive method.Downloads
