If selecting is necessary, assessment is essential: collections of literature for young readers
Keywords:

The paper analyzes three National School Library (PNBE) issues taking as its starting point the pedagogic evaluation conducted by Center for Literacy, Reading and Writing (CEALE) of College of Education at UFMG. The aim is to reflect on the editorial production targeting young readers, from the collections for young people, both the final years of primary education as the high school, in editions of PNBE for these segments in the years 2006, 2009 and 2011. This text presents our major concern to debate: the possible distance between the composition of collections and effective appropriation of them by young people.Downloads
