Factors that may have favored several relatively autonomic experiences in Latin America, in the 1980’s (amongst these, Mercosur’s first steps), were addressed. That decade is believed to be an era of significant political achievements, though regarded as a decade economically lost; it’s also believed that difficulties faced by Latin American countries back then paved the way for coordinated external actions from which current incipient results can be seen as significant, if compared to scanty achievements made in the past.Downloads
