Faith, marketing and spectacle: the organizational dimension of the Igreja Renascer em Cristo

This article has as its research empirical focus the Igreja Renascer em Cristo and its administrative and ecclesiastic organization. Controlled by Fundação Renascer, the church stands as the main entrerprise of a group of companies commanded by the denomination leadership. Besides maintaining various social projects, the Fundação works as an efficient mechanism for the believers insertion in the religious activities, promoting the main denomination's mass events, like the Marcha para Jesus and the SOS da Vida Gospel Festival.
