Abstract

The article intends to problematize philosophically and politically the notion "child-friendly" in relation to Justice, conforming the expression child-friendly Justice. In dialogue with Derrida's analyses of justice, friendship and hospitality, the aim is to trace a historical-philosophical path in which references to friendship based on equality and proximity or on difference and distance can find in childhood a field of expression in the debate on a democracy to come, tensioning the limits of hospitality and justice towards the other-child. The aim is thus, on the one hand, to explore fundamental elements, in a socio-critical dialogue, with ways of organizing and operating justice, which will make it possible to point out the risks that, in the name of friendship, these devices may become, if not policies of enmity, strategies limited to raising awareness, with no transformative potential. On the other hand, we also hope to explore the critical potential that friendship can play in promoting equality and social justice and for the democratization of justice in the area of children and young people.
