Against the limits of language, the ethics of image

As for the autistic people he worked with for many years, for Fernand Deligny, image is opposed to language because the former refuses what the latter carries: meaning, message, purpose, slogans. In his theory about the status of the image, Deligny gives this refusal an ethical and political dimension.
