The Dialogue between the Angel and the Virgin: A Communicative Process Analysis of the Pericope of Lk 1:26-38

Lk 1:26-38 is one of the principal mariological texts, traditionally known as the announcement of the angel Gabriel to the virgin Mary. The pericope has already been approached from various points of view using different diachronic and synchronic methods. This article will value the text in its final state, that is, it will analyze many elements present in the dialogue between the angel and the virgin looking at the communicative process that author proposes to the reader. In fact, the text itself already contains the elements necessary to understand its communicative proposal. Indeed, the angel communicates something to the virgin and also to the reader, the dialogue is not closed in on itself, but causes a reaction in the reader.
