Regulatory initiatives and continuing education on the editorial process are key to ensuring the advancement of scientific production, respecting the aspects of integrity in research and publication ethics. Scientific publication has an active role in translating science and experience to society and requires constant self-criticism from the community about the relevance of the research itself and the whole process of disseminating the results. Hence the direct responsibility of scientific journals, including editorial staff, reviewers, authors and even readers. It is essential to broaden the discussion on this subject among the academic community and publishing media, in order to promote the growth of Brazilian bibliographic production with quality and responsibility.Downloads
