Intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) presents high morbidity and mortality, being caused mainly by traumatic brain injury, which has a high prevalence in children and adolescents in Brazil. This article has an epidemiological profile aiming at data analysis to understand the pattern of cases recorded in Brazil of ICH from 2012 to 2021, for this purpose, the Hospital Morbidity Information System of the SUS (SIH/SUS) released by the Ministério da Saúde was used. A total of 3,553 hospitalizations for intracranial hemorrhage in children aged 0 to 9 years were reported between 2012 and 2021, with a predominance in children under 1 year of age (about 39%), and in the Southeast region with 40% of the records. The mortality rate was around 9.8%, being slightly more expressive in the age group of 05 to 09 years. The data collected and analyzed showed the high morbidity and mortality ofICH in children, which is important in all age groups. Therefore, due to the high incidence it is necessary to improve the prevention of accidents in these children, and prepare the multidisciplinary team to receive these cases in the emergency room or intensive care, in order to reduce sequelae and increase survival.
