Abstract

AIMS: To describe a case of obstructive sleep apnea that worsened with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) standard treatment. CASE REPORT: A 74 year-old man with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome was in treatment with adequate CPAP pressure, but persisted with excessive sleepiness and fatigue associated to the emergence of central apneas. CONCLUSION: This case is identified as complex sleep apnea.
