Semont maneuver for cupulolithiasis after vestibular neuritis: a case related <b>[Abstract in English]</b>

Abstract

Objective: The article presents a case of cupulolithiasis after vestibular neuritis. The symptoms and clinical signs presented by the patient were compatible with positional vertigo syndrome and recommended therapeutically by the actual literature was implemented.
Results: The failure therapeutical compelled alterations in the treatment, changing the canalith repositioning maneuver for the Semont’s maneuver.
Conclusion: The result proved the necessity of therapeutical adjustments, in accordance with the severity and type of vertigo presented for the patient.
