Abstract

The early care in pre-hospital care (PHC) increases the chances of successful treatment and recovery of patients suffering from trauma and cardiovascular emergency (myocardial infarction, stroke and cardiac arrest). The Mobile Emergency Care Service (MECS) of Rio Grande do Sul is the subject of an article being published in this issue of Scientia Medica, addressing more specifically the city of Ijuí.
