A probable view of suicide behavior from health professionals <b>[Abstract in English]</b>
Abstract
Objective: To provide the residents of health sciences, particularly the ones that work in Emergency Departments, information regarding the phenomenon of suicide, in order to offer cognitive tools that allow the adoption of therapeutic strategies to the situations presented.Methods: Review of scientific literature in the field of Suicidology.
Conclusions: Given that the prevalence of suicide has increased significantly and that the professionals of health may face such a tragic situation, the knowledge of this clinical presentation is of basic importance so one can offer the management most efficient for the patient who presents with this problem.
