Abstract

In an ideal sense, action training, development and education of persons (TD&E) should produce favorable reactions to their participants. Based on the Borges-Andrade (2006) Integrative and Summative Evaluation Model, the purpose of this paper is to present a literature review of Reaction and discuss concepts, definitions and measures, results of research, with emphasis on the distance courses. The criteria for selection of the material followed the patterns of scientific journals. Questions about the quality of the instruments and relationship between Reaction with other variables of interest in TD&E are made. The conclusions of the review suggest the use of measures of Reaction of the distance courses in the work organizations and also in the educational institutions that offer courses of this nature, aimed at improving the planning instructional.
