Abstract

In this interview, highlighting what is being done in Latin America, Canclini points out the inclusion of socioeconomic processes in the field that he prefers to call "studies on culture", as a necessary remodeling of cultural studies, maintaining his basic protocol but avoiding a "hyper-textualization With little context analysis "that he recognizes above all in the North American strand of cultural studies.
