Abstract

The purpose of this article is to review how the beginning of radio broadcasting in Rio Grande do Sul was registered by the Revista do Globo. This connection is feasible because that magazine circulated from 1929 until 1967 and the first experiences with radio began in 1924 in RS, with the inauguration of Rádio Sociedade Riograndense in Porto Alegre.
