Journalists and tecnoactors: the negotiation between professional cultures whitin on-line newsrooms

The article of researchers João Canavilhas , Ivan Satuf, Diógenes de Luna (UBI), Vitor Torres (UFB), Alciane Baccin (UFRGS), Alberto Marques (UnB) draws attention to a phenomenon in development: the growing relevance of professionals connected to technology (the “tecnoactors”)  inside the newsroom and their influence in production and circulation of journalistic information.The work contributes to online journalism studies creating new questions about the negotiation between different professional cultures in a scenario of media convergence. The contribution are the parameters’ identification that acts during the negotiation, as a special structure of newsroom (“physical distance”) and the way as actors recognize themselves (epistemic distance). The article contributes also to the debate about hybrid professionals in online newsroom, that shouldn’t be seen as specialists replacement, but as fundamentals mediators to establish work interfaces. The investigation contributes to journalism studies in cultures with portuguese language to proposes a transnational empirical study in three Brazilians newsrooms.
