Abstract

With the differential of exploring the practice of the methodology of states of knowledge as a strategy in the production of knowledge, the work State of Knowledge: Theory and Practice presents us with a theoretical-methodological synthesis of operationalization of this approach in the face of academic studies, considering its exploratory-investigative and inventory-descriptive. The work is shown as a guide for the production of studies and research, not only for reflection and synthesis on scientific production, but also its contribution to the presence of the new.

Julian Silveira Diogo de Ávila Fontoura, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

PhD in Education from the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS), Master in Education from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), Degree in Natural Sciences from the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology (IFRS). Professor at the Department of Specialized Studies at the Faculty of Education at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (DEE/FACED/UFRGS), in the area of Education Policies and Management.
