Abstract

Social public politics are a public commitment established by State next to society aiming for the guarantee of social rights as one of the clear and fundamental principles of democracy. The use of appropriate evaluation methods for these public policies is a constant concern of both public institutions and foment agencies that finance them. The influence of multilateral agencies like BIRD and BID is very effective in Brazil, performing an important role on development and implementation of public politics, with an approach to poverty reduction. The objective of the present study is to make a comparative study of the evaluation methods applied by BIRD and BID in projects carried out in Brazil, trying to identify the reach of the results as an instrument to more effective public politics.
