Musical culture and dialogical behavior: a cognitivist approach for interaction through musical language
Keywords:
Music, Dialogue, Meta-cognition, Joint Attention, SocializationAbstract
The present work brings a cognitive model that proposes communication through musical language. We consider communicative manifestations as behaviors aiming to elicitate other behaviors in social interactions. From this point on, we can argue that songs are tools for dialogue, with communicative behavior triggering listener's behavior through music interpretation and meaning attribution. In this sense, the communicative interaction bases itself not only in informative content, but also in the interaction between cognitive domains of individuals involved in every human activity.Downloads
