The critical reception of the opera in the fiction of Nélida Piñon

This article analyzes how Nelida Piñon makes a critical reception of the opera by Giuseppe Verdi in the novel A força do destino (1977). This masterpiece highlights the role of the contemporary writer, since a classic is read from a post-modern place. In the intertextual relationship, the reception of the opera is explored as a cultural archive. Methodologically, we analyze the artistic intertextuality from the feminist place of the Brazilian writer. Taking the parodic game between opera and romance as a starting point, the irreverence of this postmodern metanarrative can be identified.
