The aim of this paper is to incentivize the foreign language (FL) or second language (SL) insertion in the first to fifth grade curriculums at basic education schools, and justify it. Therefore we bring some authors who, based on their studies, corroborate the idea of how fruitful such learning is from several points of view to 6-10-year-old students. Based on the bibliographical review, we conclude that the FL/SL insertion in the first grades of elementary school does not affect the process of reading and writing/literacy in mother tongue.Downloads
