The historical-literary discourse build by Tabajara Ruas, on Netto perde sua alma

This article aims to understand the intersection between literature and history in the novel Netto Perde sua Alma (1995), by Tabajara Ruas. Therefore, we analyze the novel from the perspective of the New Historical Novel and the Historiographic Metafiction, because we understand that both theories resemble on the understanding concerning the idea that the study of the past has to be done starting from a critical reflection that only the present makes it possible and, therefore, they admit that arendt a single version surrounding the facts. In the analysis of the narrative and her characters, we will corroborate that perspective, because the author presents us multiple points of view regarding Revolução Farroupilha and Guerra do Paraguai.
