In order to analyze the possibility of recognizing an interpretation of Otherness in Being and Time, the article makes a brief reconstruction of how the phenomenon of anxiety enables the recognition of the existential death, as the possibility of recognizing the strange, the other. Then, we start to analyze this context as a possibility of otherness destined outside the being-there. From this, some dialogical possibilities of the self with the other are traced from the notion of strangeness. The article starts from a brief reconstruction of Heidegger’s interpretation of the phenomenon of anxiety. Then André Duarte’s interpretation and its implications for Heidegger’s work are presented. Finally, some directions are presented which Bernhard Waldenfels recognizes as essential for a phenomenology of the other, which always appears as a stranger.
