Contractualism and the metaphor of construction in John RawlsJohn Rawls is presented as a contractarian to normative ethics issues, while developing a constructivist appeal in his theory. Nevertheless, it is not clear what relationship he establishes between his procedural justice model and the metaphor of normative construction. The main aim of this article is to prove how your contractarian model can be interpreted as a form of constructivism procedural. For this purpose, we will analyze contract and constructivism singly to subsequently identify the connective between them. Therewith, I hope to clarify this relationship and answer some objections against this model.

Abstract

John Rawls is presented as a contractarian to normative ethics issues, while developing a constructivist appeal in his theory.
