Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The text follows the journal's formatting requirements according to the "Guidelines for Authors"found in the "Submissions" section.
  • It is mandatory to fill in the Article Cover, with the article information. This document must be forwarded separately at the time of submission.

Author Guidelines

Texts are published in the following languages: Portuguese, German, Spanish, French, English, Italian and Latin. The editor is not responsible for the foreign language linguistic revision of the texts and, therefore, the contributions should be sent already duly revised.

In case of texts originally written in a foreign language, they must contain title, abstract and keywords in Portuguese.

The author must keep his registration profile updated and, for submission of a new text, fill out the information items below under “Conditions for Submission”.

Information about the authors should contain the following data: full name with the correct spelling; ORCID (see: orcid.org); affiliation: institution, city, state and country (in no case should affiliations be accompanied by the authors' titles or mini-curricula). These, when present, should be published separately from affiliations as author's notes). email; complete physical postal address of the corresponding author, which may be the institutional one, provided at the end of the article; research funding source (if any); potential conflicts of interest (if any).

The journal adopts the updated reference standard of ABNT (ABNT - General Rules).

The text must contain title, abstracts and keywords in the languages ( Portuguese, English and Spanish) indicated by the journal.

Optionally, the authors may indicate at the end of the article:

  • acknowledgements;
  • mini curriculum: academic and professional training.

The place of the figures and tables must be indicated in the text, and these must be sent in a separate file, with program identification and version.

Maximum of pages: articles: 25 pages; reviews: 9 pages; interviews: 15 pages.

Files submitted for submission must be in open text format (Word).

The contribution must be original and unpublished and may not be evaluated for publication by another journal; if not, justify in “Comments to the editor” when submitting the text in the portal.

Publication of papers is subject to approval by reviewers. The originality of the treatment of the theme, the consistency and rigor of the approach, as well as its contribution to the thematic line are taken into account. The names of the reviewers will remain confidential, and the names of the authors before the reviewers will also be omitted.

Spontaneous submission of articles and subsequent acceptance for publication automatically implies the assignment of the rights of the first publication to the Journal. Intellectual copyright remains with the author. Any subsequent reproduction, by any means, may be made only by prior agreement between the Journal and the author and with proper citation of the source.

The Journal publishes works by PhD professors or co-authored with graduate students.

The concepts issued in the works are the sole responsibility of the authors, not necessarily reflecting the opinion of the Editorial Board or Editorial Council.

The text must contain title, abstracts and keywords in the languages indicated by the journal. There should be a summary of the article in your own language, one in English and one in Spanish, followed by four or five keywords.

The bibliographic information must be correct and in accordance with the standard adopted by the journal.

Maximum of pages: articles: 25 pages; reviews: 9 pages; interviews: 15 pages.

Files submitted for submission must be in open text format (Word).

Review

Section that includes the publication of reviews of works relevant to the study of Philosophy, whose publication is of importance for the synthetic presentation of a work, which makes it easier for researchers/researchers to know and become familiar with the topic addressed.

Section Features:

  • Attach cover sheet.
  • Texts with up to three authors are accepted, as long as one of the applicants has a doctorate, and the others have a doctorate in progress.
  • Maximum 9 pages.

Ethics and Political Philosophy

Each one of the numbers comprises the publication of articles that present themes relevant to the specific themes of each one of the numbers. Each issue may be receiving submissions and will publish articles throughout the year, in accordance with the adopted editorial policy of 'continuous flow'.

Section Features:

  • Attach cover sheet.
  • Texts with up to three authors are accepted, as long as one of the applicants has a doctorate, and the others have a doctorate in progress.
  • Maximum 25 pages.

Varia

Includes the publication of articles that present free themes, which can be published throughout the year. This Section will include articles that are not necessarily related to the themes of the other sections.

Section Features:

  • Attach cover sheet.
  • Texts with up to three authors are accepted, as long as one of the applicants has a doctorate, and the others have a doctorate in progress.
  • Maximum 25 pages.
