Laboratory markers of the septic shock <b>[Abstract in English]</b>

Abstract

Objective: Review on the main laboratory markers in the diagnosis of the septic shock.
Methods: The authors revised books and scientific goods, with focus in the approached subjects, published in the period of 1989-2005.
Conclusions: The laboratory markers are useful in the evaluation of the septic shock, aiding in the diagnosis and in the precocious detection of organic dysfunctions. In the blood and in the urine of these patient are reflected the alterations biophysical-chemistries in the tissues, in the validity of the circulatory deficiency of the shocked ones. The laboratory analysis can reveal most of the physiopathologic alterations.
