Abstract

This article examines the relationship between a specific form of communication, rumor, and violence. Most of the rumors are "black," meaning that they report situations that are, in one way or another, violent: accidents, assaults, penury, scandals, etc. These narrative rumors that are urban legends express in a fanciful way the feeling of insecurity of our day.
