Abstract

This article deals with the decay of the aesthetic models of modernity and the gradual appearance of the new transforming paradigms of our contemporaneity. As a matter of example it calls attention to the pioneering work called Testartes created by the Brazilian visual artist Vera Cha ves Barcellos who, at the beggining of her post-modern phase, put into relationship her visual art and the process of communication, challenging the viewer to participate actively of the decoding of her mixedmedia works.
