Abstract

Aims: validate the construct of an instrument that protocol an assessment instrument for elderly people in a domestic environment according to the criteria proposed by Fried (2001).
Methods: the study had 3 stages: I – Preparation of the questionnaire for application with the professionals; II – Application of the questionnaire with professionals in the area; III – Elaboration and validation of the construct. The sample consisted of 9 physiotherapist and in the form was used the Likert scale, the responses were compiled for the analysis of agreement between the judges. The biostatistics calculations used I-CVI and S-CVI.
Results: the itens “Cognition – WHO Quality of Life-BREF” and Communication – Physical Performance Test” was not validated by the I-CVI, because did not reach the value of ≥ 0.78, although the instrument was validated since the S-CVI reached ≥ 0.80.
Conclusion: the instrument’s construct that protocol a physiotherapeutic assessment instrument for elderly people in a domestic environment according to the criteria proposed by Fried (2001) was validated.
