The informality of virtual-interactive language

Abstract

It is assumed that written speeches in interactive sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, represent a direction of informality in written communication in virtual environments, in order to illustrate (i) the centrality of intentionality and emotion and (ii) the simplifying in the mediation of language in the virtual environment. Accordingly, we analyze a set of linguistic tags of this rhetoric of informality in which the speaking and writing language become close.
