The following article aims to discuss the existence of a visual language as a way of recovering an ancestral communication in the art world based on the senses experience. It is for this reason that the reminiscence of a non-literate, tactile, auditory and visual memory within the Andean culture arises, which through the modern plastic and performance of Cecilia Vicuña recalls an old mnemonic function that replaces the word for an image. That is a new (or ancient) way of counting and preserving Latin American historical memory. Quipu Mapocho work presented by the Chilean artist at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de Chile, 2017, constitutes a remembrance as historical support through the use of photography and the symbolic updating of an Andean quipu and a gift boy at the Capacocha. The word in this sense becomes experience, image and allegory.
