Abstract

The purpose of this brief essay is to think, starting with the freudian notion of disillusion with the world the importance of the construction of a phantasy of future that could sustain the future as alterity, and not merely as a mimetic projection of the present. We cannot do that without bringing into the text the conception of foreign - one of the figures of the alterity - and articulate this concept with what psychoanalysis understands as the symbolical function of the father - the transmission of an heritage and the possibility to make filiation bonds through the culture.
