Dialog between modern and anti-modern in the discourse of the Brazilian Integralist Action

The paper focuses on the Brazilian Integralist Action, pointing its relationship with modern and anti-modern elements present in its social organization plan. After analyzing the speeches of three of its main leaders, Plinio Salgado, Miguel Reale and Gustavo Barroso, it is possible to conclude that Integralism was a modern social movement, which sought to eliminate the negative consequences of modernity and retrieve traditional elements, while also being the main example of Christian spiritualism.Downloads
