Abstract

This article analyzes representations of the “American Revolution” in the political ideas of the Chilean intellectual Francisco Bilbao. In our analysis, we have utilized as sources two author’s works: La Sociabilidad Chilena (1844) and El Evangelio Americano (1864). Throughout the text, we have tried to identify continuities and differences about the representations of the American Revolution in both publications, relating them to the different contexts in which they were produced.
