Abstract

This article analyzes the changes that took place in the Argentine textile industry between the outbreak of the First World War and the Great Depression. It is argued that during the decade of 1920 took place an advance in the substitution of imports led by wool industry, knit goods, and rayon fabrics. The article examines the factors that impelled these transformations.
