Carolina von KOSERITZ (1865-1922) foi das raras mulheres que no século passado se impuseram por sua capacidade intelectual. Contista e tradutora, ofereceu ao intelectual brasileiro opção de leitura, com a tradução de clássicos alemães, ingleses e russos, quando no Brasil imperava um predominante francesismo cultural. Adeptos do movimento germanista da Escola de Direito de Pernambuco acolheram com aplausos o trabalho de Carolina, que teve em seu pai, o grande germanófilo Carlos von Koseritz, seu mentor intelectual.
A publicação do presente estudo biográfico deseja lembrar o centenário de edição da primeira tradução de Carolina, e também o 409 aniversário da Academia Literária Feminina do RS, da qual é uma das patronas. NAHF
