Los eruditos españoles del siglo XVIII se ocuparon con frecuencia de la mujer y su función en la sociedade; pero no para defender sus derechos, sino para discenir los limites entre lo permisible y lo prohibido. Mediante el recato personal y el ejemplo de la aristocracia, la mujer debia preparase para elegir estado y cumplir luego con su responsabilidad de esposa y madre. Estas ideias y sus consecuencias son el tema de este trabajo, tomando como punto de partida la obra de Josefa Amar y Borbón (Discuso sobre la educación física y moral de las mujeres).Downloads
